Your AI agent builds the app. Give it a UX designer's judgment.

An open-source UX agent for bitcoin builders who direct AI agents is on its way. It's being built to help your agent ship apps that are well designed and that people actually want to use.

The problem

You're not a designer. Your agent isn't either.

You direct an AI agent to build your bitcoin app. It writes the code fast. But nobody on the team is a UX specialist, so nobody is checking how the app actually feels to the person using it.

In bitcoin that gap costs more than in most apps. People are moving real money, and some actions cannot be undone.

Where agents go wrong

7 in 10 builders saw their AI get it wrong.

We interviewed 10 bitcoin builders about how they really build with AI. 7 of the 10 had AI output that was made up, wrong or misaligned with what they asked for.

"Sometimes it just made up, hallucinated and I had to give it the documentation to see how it was supposed to build it."A bitcoin builder, from our research interviews
5 of 10say a human reviewing the agent's work is now the bottleneck
4 of 10needed the AI's UX or copy polished by a human
6 of 10make UX decisions without a UX specialist

What it is

An open-source UX agent you give to your own agent.

An open-source UX agent, or skill pack, that you hand to the AI agent you already use. It carries a UX designer's judgment about how bitcoin apps should look and behave, so your agent can make better decisions without you becoming a designer.

What the builders we spoke to asked for first:

  1. 1An agent that follows bitcoin UX best practices without making things up (9 of 10)
  2. 2To know where a design recommendation came from (6 of 10)
  3. 3A way to check what their agent built against a named standard (5 of 10)

Built with builders

We asked 10 bitcoin builders how they really build.

Every one of them uses AI to write code. Most act as the director: they steer the agent and review what it writes. Nine in ten asked for the same thing, a skill or an agent their AI can connect to.

"I don't write code anymore, but I direct."A bitcoin builder, from our research interviews
10 of 10use AI to help write code
6 of 10use portable skill or instruction files
9 of 10asked for a skill or agent their AI can connect to

Who it's for

Builders with no UX specialist on the team.

  1. 1Solo builders and small teams building bitcoin apps with an AI agent
  2. 2People who want the app to feel right without becoming designers
  3. 3Anyone who has watched an agent get the details of a payment screen wrong

Most of the builders we interviewed work solo or in a small team and steer an AI agent to build. See who they are in the research report →

Who is building it

Open source, and built in public.

We're building it openly, so you can see how it develops and tell us what your agent gets wrong. We're aiming to launch an MVP (a first working version) at the end of November. If you want to get your hands on it, drop your email below.

I'm Mogashni, a UX designer and researcher. I specialize in bitcoin and Lightning wallet UX.
